- Biography
-
Dr. Taeghwan Hyeon is an SNU Distinguished Professor at Seoul National University (SNU) and the Director of Center for Nanoparticle Research of Institute for Basic Science (IBS). He is recognized for his outstanding contributions in scalable synthesis of uniform nanoparticles, and pioneering research in designed synthesis of inorganic nanomaterials for biomedical, energy, and soft-electronic-device applications. Especially, the “heat-up process” has become a standard protocol to produce uniform-sized nanoparticles and has been popularly used not only by academic laboratories but also in industry to produce large quantity of uniform-sized nanoparticles.
